Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She lived with twelve other kids. The vivid imagination of her mother allowed her to escape the harsh realities of everyday life. Even before learning to read or write, she composed her own music. When she was 8years old, she purchased the first electric guitar she owned and started singing at the Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. In the following year, she made her debut album on Gold Band Records an independent small label. Although she was in school, she had established a name for herself on the local scene. But her dream was to to play on a greater level. After she finished her high school, in 1964, she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums for Monument Records. Porter Wagoner began looking for female singers to join his TV show syndicated by a network at approximately the same time. Parton was a part of the Grand Ole Opry 1969 after having signed in 1969 with RCA Records. In 1974, she resigned from The Wagoner's Show due to the popularity of her own songs such as Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases. Parton following the breakup of their collaboration with Wagoner she wrote the song"I'll Always Be Loved" by You and saw it climb to the top spot at No. Its first appearance at No. 1 was 1974.
