Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a Greek-American author, syndicated writer of columns as well as a businesswoman. She has written fifteen books and is the cofounder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, writer, journalist, TV host and the owner of The Huffington Post. Her move out of Greece to England when she was 16 years old, and received an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it at the age of 21. Then she became a syndicated conservative writer following her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a couple of years following, she launched an online voice platform which offered critiques of political scenarios. Her celebrity status helped her by attracting a variety of high-profile contributors to share their opinions about news from the world of politics and culture. Arianna gained fame after she decided in 2003 to become an Independent Candidate in the California Recall Election in order to succeed former Governor Davis. The project she headed was the Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Forbes identified her as the top female in the media industry in the year 2009. She ranked in the 12th spot on Forbes' list. The Guardian also included her to the list of 100 most influential media for 2009. AOL, Inc. made her the President of their media division in 2011, after they bought The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post also included the other AOL brands, including Engadget AOLmusic Style list or Patch Media. Their parents are Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, a management consultant and journalist. Her life was shaped by her closeness to her mother as well as her relationship with her father, despite being extremely close to him. Even in her formative age, she displayed her leadership skills that she is still known for. At the age of 16, she moved to Britain to study and enrolled at Girton College Cambridge.
