On February 26, 1976 Ky-mani was born to the famous Robert Nesta Marley and Jamaican table tennis player Anita Belnavis, in Falmouth, Jamaica. East African word Ky-mani means "adventurous traveler". For a man who lives up to the title, every album or travel experience is an experience. The Journey was his first musical venture. His wide-ranging perspective allowed Ky-Mani to seek out his niche and explore his many talents. Many More Roads, a traditional album of reggae that received a Grammy nomination in 2001 showed a mature Ky-mani. Many More Roads, as in addition to The Journey are well-received all over the world, and established Ky-mani in her role of independently-minded "artist". Ky-Mani's sound is a mixture of roots reggae , interspersed along with hip hop, R&B as well as contemporary jazz.
